Executed a study of trace element e!ects on the growth of carbon dioxide-absorbing marine plankton, as part of a
larger e!ort to find methods to control global warming.

1991-1992: Research Assistant, Marine Biological Laboratories, Woods Hole, MA.
Studied #agellar engine structures in motile bacteria, including isolation and imaging of same using the electron
microscope. Assisted in study of transport proteins in squid motor axons.

1993-1994: Research Assistant, Psychology Department, Brown University, Providence, RI.
Executed and analyzed studies of phase shift sensitivity in bullfrogs, as part of ongoing research into underlying
neurological structures in vertebrate auditory perception and processing.

1993-1994: Bat Trainer, Psychology Department, Brown University, Providence, RI.
Created original techniques to train bats to execute predatory maneuvers during high-speed filming and audio
recording for studies in echolocation.

1994-1998 Freelance Web Design and Computer Graphic Artist/Animator: RI, MA.
Worked with client companies to design and execute web solutions customized to best represent and serve intended
audiences and customer goals, coding in HTML, Java, Javascript, and Flash.

1995-1996: Web Designer and Digital Artist/Animator, Course Technology, Boston, MA.
Coordinated with art and editorial departments to design websites, graphics and animations to support book
publications and online learning centers, using HTML and Flash.

2000-2004 Sculptor and Business Owner, Cat's Creatures, Lincoln and Wood River Junction, RI.
Created and manufactured series of anthropomorphic sculptural characters, entwined through original fiction

Managed operations of IT business, serviced clients with custom IT solutions and tutorials.

2006-2007 Environmental Educator, Photographer, Documentary Filmmaker, Mechanic: BioTour.
Co-organizer and one of a crew of four on a cross-country expedition aboard a vegetable-oil powered, customized
school bus, providing education on energy crisis awareness and alternatives; documented many citizen e!orts for
community energy solutions across the United States.

2007-Present: Independent Filmmaker, Photographer, Stage Lighting and Rigging: New England.
Participated in the production of several short films, variably as director of photography, camera operator, production
still photographer, gaffer, audio recordist, actor and stuntwoman (specialty in swordfighting and hand-to-hand combat).

2008 Sculptor, Prop Design and Construction for feature film production of “Vampire Nation”, RI .
Designed and created vampire statue prop for central scenes, designed according to specifications by the filmmakers.

2009-Present: Co-Founder and Director of RIFC Educational Program, Providence, RI.
Organized and led effort to establish a new adult education program in filmmaking, in the state of Rhode Island. Duties include recruitment of students and instructors, design of curriculum, marketing, grantwriting and other fundraising.
