Executed a study of trace element effects on the growth of carbon dioxide-absorbing marine plankton, as part of a larger effort to find methods to control global warming. Studied flagellar engine structures in motile bacteria, including isolation and imaging of same using the electron microscope. Assisted in study of transport proteins in squid motor axons.
1993-1994: Bat Trainer and Research
Assistant, Psychology Department, Brown University, Providence, RI.
Created original techniques to train bats to execute predatory maneuvers during high-speed filming and audio recording for studies in echolocation. Executed and analyzed studies of phase shift sensitivity in bullfrogs, as part of ongoing research into underlying neurological structures in vertebrate auditory perception and processing.

Coordinated with art and editorial departments to design websites, graphics and animations to support book publications and online learning centers. Worked with client companies to design and execute web solutions customized to best represent and serve intended audiences and customer goals, using HTML, Java, Javascript, and Flash.
